Aston, Lozells And Witton Pic Reposted...
Photobucket replaced all their linked pics in the above thread with their advert pics and the original pics became invisible but the image urls still pointed to the original pics making them recoverable. The posts below are copies of the original posts, with original comments (not mine), and 130 recovered pics. The pics are in Coppermine so the posts in this thread (complete with pics) could be copied and pasted into corresponding posts in the original thread. Until then a link to this thread could be placed at the start of the original thread. The story behind this collection of pics is written in post#1 of the original thread. 22 posts follow … All the Pics have now been restored to the original thread.
these next 6 pics of furnace lane are in my opinion absolute treasures..i really cant think that anyone else would have taken pics of the lane looking like this...we are so very lucky to have them...oh just an aside..apparently our mom and dad did a lot of their courting here lol
and now we come to 4 photos for which i am eternally grateful to ray for posting the first time round...villa st..this is where i lived from the age of 5 until i was 18...i am still not certain yet if one of the lads playing outside this cafe just up from our house is my eldest brother..if any the one on the right but like i say i cant be certain...however in the long shot pic of villa st on the left towards the bottom by some trees you will see about 3 children playing outside where my house would have been one dressed in yellow..i am totally convinced that its of at least one poss 2 of my sisters..they would have been out playing with the brady children who lived next door at no 120
so glad you like them dave and eric..most of the photos i post are backed up but this particular set i have copied 3 times onto discs..no intention of losing them..my next task is to copy all of mikejees 69/73 photos that he took...again quite unique photos..
