Being new to this site could some kind person look up the marriage of John Hodgett(s) and Mary Newman at St Martins 1844. I think they had been married before (to different partners) not sure if they were widowed.
I have them on 1841 & 1851 census in west bromwich parish. In 1861 living in Dale Steet Wednesbury and my great granfer Willian Arthur Bevan is an adopted son with the family. I have hit a brickwall with William as I cannot find a birth for him so no mother or fathers name. His marriage cert has no fathers name included and no family as witnesses. any ideas?
many thanks
