I would be very grateful if someone could look up a possible marriage at St Martin's. William Fox (born 1775) married Elizabeth ??...Dont know exactly when they got married. They had their first child in 1805 so think could be anytime from 1795 up to 1805. Dont know definitely that they married there but therir 1st 2 sons got married there. John Fox married Jane Kettle 23 May 1825 we think. Really keen to know Elizabeth's surname. Just found out got some long lost relatives that emigrated to Canada...Thanks again!

sorry but there doesnt seem to be a marriage at st. martins for william fox. ive found the sons marriage, details below

john fox of this parish bachelor and jane kettle of this parish spinster 23rd may 1825

they both signed their names as did the witnesses who were william fox and elizabeth turley

Thanks Shera. Shame. Was a long shot I suppose. I presume it doesnt say who the witnesses are?...e.g. relatives, friends...Where are you looking it up? I will have to try to think of other churches where they might have got married...the problem is not knowing anything about Elizabeth as it is likely to be her parish where they got married..

thats the lot im afraid. at that time there wasnt much on the marriage record, and a few years earlier it was just the names of the groom and bride - nothing else. i looked back quite a few years but nothing found at st. martins. the records i am looking at are the original records of st. martins which i purchased from bmsgh.
