LONELINESS

LONELINESS :'(

Alone am I but no one cares
Is there no one to hear my prayers
Loneliness is all that’s left for me
Was this for me to be my legacy?

Oh how for friends my heart did crave
To end for me all my lonely days
My husband’s love it was not enough
This loneliness for me was tough

To hear oh how my heart did long
The front door bells merry song
Alas and woe it was not to be
Death it came swift to claim me

Taken away from my loving family
Unaware of their deep love for me
No time to wish them a fond farewell
In the world of spirit I now do dwell

In Tribute to my Wife Ann :smitten:

Reg what a super, but very sad poem, especially hard to write I guess from another persons perspective?

Reggie, it's wonderful and sad and loving all at once. :smitten:

Another one written from the heart Reggie. Thank you and here's to many more in 2006.

My heart felt your pain and understood Reginald...I'm glad you can share such deep feelings with us. Thanks for sharing
