London Apprentice

Does anyone remember the London Apprentice in Smethwick in the mid to late 1950's.It was commonly known as the plug(I've no idea why).My parents were running the place then and I remember starting school at St.Matthews which was just up the road. There was a milk delivery depot on the other corner which used horse and carts for delivering.I used to climb over the fence when they were closed and sit on the carts playing cowboys and indians.

I "Googled" yesterday and it was being used as a church! I don't remember much about that part of Smethwick, mostly Cape Hill area.
rosie.
