Lily Road South Yardley

The quoted newspaper mentions the coronation being in 1936 ... but the coronation date was 12 May 1937 and here is another Lily Road celebration photo.

The newspaper mentions that houses on the right in the picture were destroyed in WW2 bombing. There was a night raid at 10.15pm on 14th Nov 1940. High explosive bombs dropped on Lily Rd and the view below shows the scene next day. 14 people were killed by the bombs.
