john lea born birmingham abt 1813. in 1841 living with william rogers family in dartmouth street aston.
in 1841 he married the daughter margaret rogers who was a servant lo not living at home.
they married 28th march at aston juxta. he was a blacksmith. father also named john also a blacksmith.its his father i am stuck with.
if i could find the sons birth hopefully it would lead me onto the father.
 
As I am sure you already know. The only birth records in 1813 would be baptism records. National registration did not start until 1837ish.

i agree jan i would be very difficult going further back...of course you could look on the 1841 for john lea senior blacksmith to give his rough age but again could prove difficult to know if its the correct one as we dont know if he was living in birmingham
