Brummie babby
Hi i am new to this site so please be patient with me, thanks
Looking where to find info on my gggrandfather John Latham born 1810 baptised at st phillips Birmingham was convicted of burgulary along with his friend robert short, john was transported in 1828 to tasmania, australia
His father Charles or james latham was a shoe maker in potter street. His mothers name was sarah jones, Johns grandparents were Samuel and elizabeth Latham nee?

I do not know how much you know about john’s family already, but offer these extracts from local directories. These may have no connection, and people do change listed occupations then more than today (if you do not know otherwise), which is why I have included some of them. It should be noted that the year is year of publication and at this early time could refer to up to 3 years earlier

1815 Latham John, shoe warehouse, High St
1823 Latham John, glazier, 2, Colmore-street
1823 Latham Mrs. S. child-bed linen warehouse, 23, Cannon-street

1829 Latham John, appraiser and auctioneer, 131, Bromsgrove-st.

1833 Latham John, appraiser and auctioneer, 92, Bromsgrove-street
