LATCHFORD

rowan

Born a Brummie
My husband's Mother was a Latchford. On the 1901 census I have found her Father James and I also saw a Henry. Now I don't know if Henry is related to James, is there anyway I can find out? I haven't looked at the addresses of these two persons so I don't know if they lived in Aston or not. My Mother in law married at St Clements Nechells on Christmas day 1937. It would be very interesting to find out if there were any other relations to this Latchford. Thank you for any help :)

I think the previous posting was the sister and mother of your James father Joseph who married Charlotte Ashton in 1871.The other Latchford families do not appear to be linked in any way.

Many thanks Alberta for the imfo. We do have those details and you are correct James and Charlotte are brother and sister and Margaret(not Marquille) was their Mother. We wondered if Henry could be a distant cousin as Latchford is an unusual name!!
We have got stuck as it seems that James married Margaret in Dublin and we can't find anymore. The children were born in Dublin and James worked as a coach polisher, maybe for Metro Cammel?

Thank you again Alberta

He is Bob Latchford he had brothers who played footy too don't recall their names. Mr and Mrs Latchford lived in Lindsworth Road Kings Norton and were neighbours of my mother I'll ask her for some information today who knows!

Bob Lachford,s brothers were David goal keeper for Birmingham City and Peter goal keeprer for West Brom.

Spoke to Mom they no longer live at the address not too sure why but I remembered when she told me that their Dad use to work at Monyhull Hospital a Charge Nurse (male sister) I think. The Latchfords may have been special guests at the Hospitals summer fete's in the 80's.
