Re: Rebacca Latchford

Many thanks for that Chris, I do have that about Benjamin.

Rebbeca is a new name that a family member found on a post card dated 1859!!

Re: Rebacca Latchford

If the lady was born around the same time as Benjamin could it be that Latchford is her married name by 1859.
Searched census entries 1841/51 no Rebecca Latchford

No deaths for a Rebecca Latchford on FreeBMD.

Re: Rebacca Latchford

Do you think this could be her?
Based on the facts that Benjamin could have been her Dad....
Mom's name was:
Ann Anderton

Mom and Dad were married in:
Marriage: St James Westminster, London

and Dad died 1886 at:
Death: Shell Cottage, Walton on the Naze, Essex

Births Mar 1853 LATCHFORD Ann Rebecca Epping 4a 38

Rowan it might be a good idea to get the Birth Cert' for Ann Rebecca 1853.

Re: Rebacca Latchford

Thank you all for your input.

ANN A. & EMILY A. were twins and in both cases were given their Mothers maiden name of ANDRETON.

The postcard that was found, dated JUNE 29th 1859 posted from WALSALL was headed
"Dear Brother I have send to you a P.O for 16/- which is all you give account of. you say no price for bottle or basket. Becy"

The address is: To MR B. LATCHFORD,
11, UPPER ?? (can't make out that word)
MARTINS LANE,
LONDON W.C.

So sadly:( I don't think the ANN REBECCA b1853 is the same Rebbecca that sent the postcard.

The REBECCA I am looking for will be the sister of the girls father BENJAMIN:rolleyes:

But never fear........onward and upward, as they say, I will keep looking;)

Re: Rebacca Latchford

Hey Rowan I just had a thought, maybe Your Rebecca Latchford is the mother of Ann Rebecca 1853. Benjamin may have been her Brother in Law and not her sibling.
So it may still be a good idea to follow that one up, you can state that you need to know the parents of the child before obtaining the cert'.
