Kynoch's Kings Visit 1915

Michael_Ingram

gone but not forgotten
I have just posted a picture of King George V's visit to Kynoch's in 1916 in the Nostalgia section of the photo album. The following is written in pencil on the back which may be of interest (in some parts it is difficult to read, so there is some guess work):

Back Row
Mr Barton, Wilton, Jowell Blood
grensill R. S(?) Tenby(?) Wigatt(?)

Front Row
Mr W Markay - Jock Clarke - Edison - Manager, N Chamberlain, Grensill, Fryel(?) Pete Frankes, Jim Bowe(?)

Hi , Can you please relist a copy of this photo . I've tried to find it online but couldn't. Jim bowen was my great grandfather and it would be great to see it. Many Thanks Steve.

Edit. See later post.

Steve,

Welcome to the forum. I hope that this image will re-surface. (Should like to see it myself). The original may have been deleted during one of the Forum's rejiggings.

The original poster will be able to contact you direct via an Instant Mail. For this reason I have deleted your email address because it's better if it doesn't appear in open forum.

Better still would be for the image to be reposted here so that it can be seen by all.

Chris

Posted for stevekenny. His Great Grandfather was Jim Bowen; front row, far right

Edit. See next post for replacement image.

This may be the photo referred to in Michael Ingram's post above. It's dated 23 July 1915. Viv.

Excellent photos Pedro. Such very young faces amongst the group in the middle photo. Viv.
