KITCHEN George Herbert

Greenways6

knowlegable brummie
Can anyone help with a George Herbert KITCHEN. His wife Edith Louisa KITCHEN died in 1946 and I believe George was still alive at this time. They lived at 539 Church Road, Yardley, Birmingham 25.

The names of known children were Edith Mary KITCHEN and Edwin W. KITCHEN and I think Marion Lucy KITCHEN, although there could have been more.

Re: George Herbert KITCHEN

George Herbert kitchen and Edith Louisa Bloxham married June 1905
reference 6d 266
if you obtain certificate from birmingham Register office it will have their fathers names.

Edith Louisa bloxham was born in 1885 Birmingham but her ages on censii differ.

Found Edith on the 1901 census visiting
Coventry road,Coleshill the home of Jane Hughes age 73 widow.Edith is 18? a shop assistant.

1891 Cooks Lane ,Tile Cross the next census entry to The White Hart, she is age 5
It is the home of Henry Allibone age 37 and wife Hannah who is being visited by his mother in law Martha Jenkins age 70
John bloxham age 11,William age 8 and Edith L are grandchildren but obviously not of Henry so it must be Martha.

Re: George Herbert KITCHEN

Hi Alberta,

Thanks for all that, but I dropped a clanger as I should have made myself clearer that what I was after was going the other way, so to speak. Got most of what you so kindly posted, but it wasn't a waste of time as it has helped me as I could not read who Edith was staying with in 1901. Thanks.

What I want to know is what happened to George Herbert KITCHEN (presumbly still alive in 1946 when he would have been 72) and were there any more children other than the ones I posted. I am not expecting anyone to do a trawl for me, but wondered if by chance anyone had come across the family and knew if there were any relatives still around.

The last known job for George H. KITCHEN looks like Metal Sorter.
