Kinhshurst Post Office

Jan 2025: I was watching Wolverhampton Wanderers on the telly last night. My mind wandered off at a tangent during the match. I remembered that I had a Subbuteo football team in Wolves colours. Bizarre really as I never supported Wolves. It was the only team they had when I went to buy them. I bought them at Kingshurst Post Office. It would have been late 60s or early 70s. The Post Office was at the top right corner of the parade shopping precinct. I remember it sold toys and there was also a shoe repair outlet there too. Made me wonder if they did the repairs on site. These days this kind service would be agency work and it would be collected and returned days later repaired. But I reckon that sort of agency thing would have been rare in those days. Then I spent a good hour trying to remember the sub postmaster’s name. I came up with Mr. Murray as I went to bed. Can anyone confirm that name?
