This view hasn't changed dramatically since the B&W postcard view. Surprisingly even some of the grass verges still exist. Anyone know where the name' 'Kettlehouse' comes from ? Viv

Most of the roads around there were named after London boroughs, I was born and brought up in Hurlingham, we had Sidcup, Crayford, Cranbourne, Harringay etc etc. all round us, the ones with local names were from former farms such as Warren Farm and Brooklyn Farm

Kingstanding

Still can't post via my laptop and coppermine so giving Tapatalk another go to post the 1834 map I mentioned. This section shows Lodge Pool and I think Lyn's Pool Farm Cottages are alongside. Interesting too that Warren Farm seems to have been known as Lodge or Warren House. Lynne - been...
