This photo is described as being in Coventry Road, Hay Mills.. Looking at Directories I have access to, I have not been able to find them. There is a
Robert Lane , fruiterer in Stratford Road, Sparkhill in the 1880s .
There's a Kate Lane listed at 865 Coventry Road on the ERs which was near Heybarnes Road on the opposite side of the road. Where Asda is, so no longer exists.
looking at the style of clothes i checked the 1911 census for kate and she is with hubby who is down as an electrician ..address excelsior coventry road...not down at that time as a shopkeeper..
