Any ideas where this might have been ? Dated 1881. Perhaps it was near a canal ? Interesting building design. Next door doesn’t look to be in too good a state. Unfortunately I can’t make out the signs above the doors on either building. Viv.
The door to the left maybe something like K and H Shepherd?
Thomas Mallard Reade was a geologist and architect from Liverpool, but had connections with the London and North Western Railway who had offices and gateway in New street?
Thought it looked like Joseph Gardner and then something. In the 1888 Kellys Joseph Gardner & Sons were at 137 Lionel st, which was next to Ebeneezer & Henry Shepherd at 139, 140. the other side was the viaduct that led to Snow hill. Marked in red on the map.
