Suggestions please how I might determine if these two were sisters?
Emily Jones, born 1850, at Broseley was for sure my gr. grandfathers sister but what about Mary Anne, born 1859, at Broseley.
In 1881, Emily was working at 36 Pershore Road as a general servant.
In 1881 Mary Anne was working at 40 Pershore Road also as a general servant.

My gr. grandfather, and a brother, Edward came to Birmingham about 1875 and lived around KingsNorton so seems to me that Mary Anne and Emily could have come as well?

Re: Mary Anne Jones + Emily Jones

Hi Sarunte, looking at the 1861 census,Mary Anne was the daughter of John and Margaret. She was then aged 12,with a brother John aged 6.
There were 2 Emily Jones born Broseley in that census, that I can see.
The first was Emily, daughter of Jeremiah and Sarah, aged 9 and the second was the daughter of William and Elizabeth and then aged 5.
