John Jones Marriage & Death

rowan

Born a Brummie
I am back to ask for your help again please:rolleyes:

I believe that JOHN JONES of GWINEAR CORNWALL married MARY JANE FREY in 1839 and he was on the 1841 census with Mary Jane and their son RICHARD age 1 (b. 1839. I believe MARY JANE died 1847

In 1851 her children were living JENIFER JONES and her children (Jane and Ann) although their ages don't fit as they are transcribed as (Richard age18 and Ann age 6 b.1844).

Jenifer is head and a widow.
(there are two Anns in the household, one Ann is Jenifer's daughter and the other one is Ann daughter of John and Mary's)

I have found a John Jones marrying Jenifer Jones in 1847 is this the same Jenifer and John and has John died by 1851??

Also how can I find John's birth and parents? And was Jenifer married before she was married to John? (her parents were WILLIAM JOANS & PARNEL GOLDSWORTHY) note spelling of Jones/Joans

There are so many Jones in and around Gwinear.

So sorry to be a pain but I would be grateful for another pair of eyes and better knowledge than I have :)

i dont know how to help but was looking at the 1851 census you mentioned and on ancestry the details are

jenifer jones widow 48 go out to work b. cornwall
jane jones 18 work to the mines
ann jones 16 work to the mines
richard 11 son in law work with the farm
ann 7 daughter in law.

all born cornwall

i would guess that marriage you have of jennifer jones to john jones is probably correct as jennifer was not a common name.

if you send for that marriage certificate you will have johns fathers name and occupation.

the marr details are 1847 oct-dec redruth 9 345

in 1861 still in gwinear

jenifer jones widow 56 work to mine
richard 20 miner
ann 16 work to mine.

so her own children had gone but she still had johns children with her.
