Hi Shera,
Could you look in your magic cd please for a marriage between John (possibly William) Horton born c1842 with Louisa born c1842, hopefully sometime just before 1884, when their first child was born?
Am looking for Louisa's maiden name.

This one is interesting....put the father's name in on ancestry, and almost got an immediate link - quoting Eliza as the mother :D

i had elizabeth for mothers name but eliza and elizabeth often get confused so wouldnt worry too much about that

OK Shera,
Jane Gordon Horton was John's mother (maybe)- have Ancestry link-up, her name was Jane gordon Chatwin, born c1813 -seems too early (maybe grandmother?), born Coventry......
Anything on a marriage for her with William Horton??

Thaks Shera!
Found the parent also on the 1881 census - living with the dad's father and mother (James c1813 and Eliza c1823) at 59 Cheapside, Deritend.

I really need to get all this new info registered onto Ancestry, before I lose it ;) !!!
