John Edward Parry 1878 occupations

Any ideas??

John Edward Parry in 1901 seems to be living with his mother
In Handsworth, Birmingham as Manufactures Clerk

In 1906 his child was born, and his occupation was Timekeepers Clerk

1911 census his occupation states Glass Bottle Works - Labourer

1915 Marriage certificate ( yes Marriage) Clerk

If he was a clerk all these years why would he be a Glass Bottle Works - Labourer in 1911

Such a different occupation.. especially as the Brother in Law, he was living with in 1911, was the Bottle works manager,

do you think he could have lied on all his papers that no one else saw... there is something strange about all his info, nothing seems to match up, totally

any ideas

Maybe he got a bit fed up of sitting behind a desk and it was an easy option to work with his Brother in Law, even though he went back to being a clerk later.....I know someone who was fed up with being a bus driver and tried grave digging but soon found it wasn't for him. Guess where he went next? Back to bus driving.... So maybe it isn't that unusual.

Regards....Florence :)

lol thanks

I did wonder if that company went bump about then
and it was easy for his brother in law to get him a job

then find something more in his line while working

but thanks for your reply
