John “Ozzy” Osbourne

That was on US TV sometime ago pretty funny in parts great shots of the USA is you are interested

Very interesting write up.

One slight "typo" if you plan to use the text elsewhere.

In the opening sentence you say "I used play snooker and drink with John “Ozzy” Osbourne"

I guess you mean "I used TO play snooker....."

I thought this might be of interest to older Brummies as a new series "Jack & Ozzy's Road Trip" is just being shown on TV.
in the late 80's I remember a girl who worked with my dad saying she'd come home the evening before & found Ozzy sitting in her kitchen drinking tea. Apparently he'd been at school with her dad and had been in the area that day & just knocked on the door on the off chance he still lived there!

Thanks, well spotted! I have corrected it now.

Yes, I saw it a few days ago, love it!
I sent it to my sister who lives in South Germany (our Dad was a lifelong Villa supporter) and she said yes, she had already seen it, it was shown on their TV!!

I lived opposite Lodge rd on Witton rd i do not recall Ozzy i know he got into a bit of bother at Lizzies shop
And he briefly worked with my Dad at Lucas King St

If I can get tickets, then I am definitely going. Brilliant news.

I know the feeling Lyn, I'm not up to the mosh pit myself :grinning: . I'm sure there will be seats available on the sides of the ground, from which there will be a decent view (I'm relying on it).

I suppose it's not so bad if you all chip in together!

Edit....just realised that price IS per person:oops:.....or is it, I've confused myself completely now :worried::rolleyes:

no sparks i thought that at first but it is per person..i would imagine the basic price for a spot standing on the pitch would be about £70 each but this is only a guess as those prices are yet to be revealed..many years ago i was paying £50 to go and see tom jones..

For information purposes, tickets for Bruce Springsteen last year at Villa Park, started at £65 standing and the Platinum Box Package was then £325. Given the figure for the package, prices look likely to be from well in excess of three figures for the day. If I was looking at a package, I think the "Iron Box Package" might be more appropriate for the headline act and my pocket.

as expected pre sales tickets sold out in mins

I had feared that it would be a re-run of the Oasis fiasco. So many want to be there and tickets are so limited. I guess people will be travelling from all around the UK, from Europe and from other parts of the world for this one (the ticket touts will also have made certain of their share), so fans from Birmingham (although it's being held there) may be thin on the ground on the day. :(

Hospitality tickets for the Villa Park show from the club's web-site below. I think I will go for the Platinum Box Package (I just need to win the lottery first;)):

Platinum Box Package -
• Private reserved box for 12 guests located in the Trinity Road Stand.
• Post event lounge access for 30 minutes post last act.
• 2 inclusive Beers, wines or Soft drinks. Tea & Coffee available throughout the day).
• Food served throughout the day from gates opening - Brunch, Afternoon Tea/snacks, Evening Street Food Style served to the private box.

£795 per person plus VAT.
Platinum Restaurant Package -
• Post event lounge access for 30 minutes post last act.
• 2 inclusive Beers, wines or Soft drinks. Tea & Coffee available throughout the day.
• Reserved padded seat located Trinity Road Stand or Doug Ellis Stand.
• Food served throughout the day from gates opening - Brunch, Afternoon Tea/snacks, Evening Street Food Style served to the table.

£795 per person plus VAT.
Gold Package -
• Pre-show access to an exclusive hospitality Lounge, and post event lounge access for 30 minutes post last act.
• Food served throughout the day from gates opening.
• Reserved padded seat located Trinity Road Stand or Doug Ellis Stand.
• 2 inclusive Beers, wines or soft drinks. Tea & Coffee available throughout the day.

£595 per person plus VAT.
Silver Package -
• Pre-show access to The Terrace View, post event lounge access for 30 minutes post last act.
• One course Evening Street Food Style served from the kitchen; additional catering available to purchase.
• 2 inclusive Beers, wines or soft drinks.
• Seat located in the Holte End Stand.

£445 per person plus VAT.

I've seen it said that ordinary seating and standing are priced @ £175, £195, £275 & £395 (seating) and £250 & £395 (standing).
