Hi All

New to the forum and interested in family history. My great grandmother was a Jelves. My Gran recalls that the family had a shop in the Aston area - probably greengrocers or a sweet shop. Anyone with any info on the Jelves family? All info greatly received. I'm on Ancestry so I have the census info for them, looking for personal stories now.

It is definitely Jelves. I'd wondered if the spelling varied at all, but I've seen birth certificates and census entries with the Jelves spelling. Astonian's info is very good though.
