hi guys ; mike and phil;
many thanks for your valuable time in researching my request its more than i ever dreamed of
one or two i knewof around the hockley area and some of the family names frank in partcular now ; as i knew he was from brettonford
and when he died they brought him back to brum to be buried astonian

hi guys
just a little more to add regarding frank jelf and the news agents in victoria rd 378 which was opersite the victoria rd police station all those years ago
my mom told me of her father ernest jelf must have taken over or vice a versa of the shop and she said he asked my mom and my dad to run it for him ;
she told me he tried to intefere with the way he ran the shop ; and he got to a stage where upon he said to her father here is the keys you run
the shop your self ;my dad had the brains for bussiness so he left him to it ;
i do ot know wheher frank bought the shop first but i can recall uncle frnk working the small farm they had out in bretonford when he was young
as i recall him i think he lost an eye through handling a bulluck on the farm which was owned by the hughes family hence the family connections with the hughes and the war years trading for birmingham provisions which where upon they had two ware houses units one at tyburn rd and one at the rear of 235
and 7 park lane aston ; which kept all there provisions for all there bussines
as i aid i do notwhom had the shop first in victoria rd frank or ernie ; and when frank died they brought is body back to brum ; afew years ago now the wife of franks died and her body is burried some where in sutton coldfield and there was an isertion of a news slip asking for anyreleies to the wife of franks ;
to contact the undertakers in sutton ; i do not know if anybody did or not ;as far as to whether she was remated or buryed i do not know that either
thjanks again mike and phill an other member for taking time in reading my request ; best wishes astonian;
