Re: Arther jelf

Hi Astonian,

Midlands Historical Data only goes up to 1939. Perhaps someone else will have access to the later ones. Although, I suspect it may mean a trip to the main library.

All the best
Ann

Re: Arther jelf

Arthur and Alice Ann Jelf were certainly there in 1935, and in 1939 with a Gladys Ivy May Jelf, Astonian.
There are 'other properties' listed for them, too: 105 Aston Road North; 8 College Road; 9 Pershore Street; and 4 Summer Lane, all in 1935.

Re: Arther jelf

Glad to be a help, Astonian - I understand the excitement of finding out information about ancestors and relatives myself.

buildig the coffee house business for the jelfs he must have set the pace
and looking at the fathers will he was the oldest son followd by henry
and arther died fairly wealthy almost as wealthy as his father and he was a very wealthy man i beleive arther had a business along colmore row by snow hill station many years ago and also i beleive but i do not know the years we are talking about but ovisiosly when my mother was young and telling me the story of her self growing up she said her grand father had a tea room in the great westeren arcade along with joe lyons
