JEFFRIES from Sun Street, Edgbaston/Harbourne, Birmingham

Henry Born: 1896 (Direct Ancestor)
James. H. Born: 1891
Arthur. T. Born: 1894
Charles. E. Born: 1894
Samuel Born: 1899

Parents of Above Children:

Arthur(1868) and Mary (1869)

If these names appear on your family tree please could you contact me so that I can gain a better understanding of the information I have presently. Especially any war records. Thank you:)

james henry jeffries 20 saddle trade b.bham
arthur james jeffries 18 printer b.bham
charles edward jeffries 16 pen maker b.bham
henry jeffries 15 printer b.bham
samuel jeffries 12 schoolboy b.bham

married 1 year. it looks like there had been 9 children born but 4 had died
 
No I don't this actually make a lot of sense now.... I wondered where sutton had come from!

in 1920 electoral rolls thomas and mary jane sutton, plus arthur, charlie, harry and samuel jeffries are living 91 bellbarn road, edgbaston

in 1922 same address but thomas sutton is not listed.

in 1930 and 1935 mary jane sutton, henry jeffries and rose jeffries are at 91 bellbarn rd.

in 1945 and 1950 henry and rose jeffries are at 76 paganel rd. northfield

in 1939 mary jane sutton was on her own at 91 bellbarn rd. then in 1945 she was at 303 bellbarn rd. i think she died in 1947 aged 77yrs. bham 9c 469
 
henry jeffries died in 1953 aged 57 yrs bham 9c 483

in 1955 rose e jeffries, stanley r. jeffries and sheila jeffries were at 76 paganel rd.

HI GUYS
Regarding a mary sutton connection to the jefferies and i beleive she or her parents was living in northfield
around the 1971period and mary sutton was running a pub in heath street winson green
and was living with an irish fella as a joint concern her parents would be a sibbling to these people
mary sutton is now in her sixties and she was a close friend to my sister inlaw whom
lives in burma villa nuneaton i will be seeing my sister inlaw later this evening in burmuda
and i will get more info; from her regarding mary

Do you have a JOHN WILLIAM JEFFRIES in your family tree?

My John was born 1869 in Kings Norton and married ADA MARY LOCK 1891.

John died in 1911 age 43yrs and ADA MARY JEFFRIES nee LOCK went to Canada with their 6 children.

John has some conection with the LATCHFORD family via ADA JEFFRIES marrying JAMES LATCHFORD in 1897. I think he could be her brother.

Having 2 ADA JEFFRIES in the same family is somewhat confusing to say the least!!:rolleyes:
