DOES ANYONE REMEMBER
J STANDLEY ( Brassfounders).
Lombard St, Derived, Birmingham

Joe was a one man band, doing everything with a young helper. Making horsebrasses from selected, heavy brass scrap Making the sand moulds. melting the brass and pouring into moulds.

I worked in Lower Trinity St, Dighbeth from 1973 to 2005. I visited Joe at least once a month to sell him a ton of Brass scrap, each time, in the early days. Joe ( already a good age ) continued to work while we talked. I remember he was a City fan and we went to St Andrews once together
I have such fond memories of Joe. So hard working and a lovely man. I just wonder if anyone remembers J Standley or family that remember Joe
