Isaac Newton Stokes and Annie E Stokes - Birmingham

Aussie Stokes

New Member
Hello from a cold Tasmania, Australia.
I am undertaking the writing of the Stokes family in Australia and Isaac Newton Stokes is my Great Grandfather. His third child Henry (my Grandfather) migrated to Tasmania in December 1922.
I have the details of Isaac Stokes birth, bit o record of his marriage date, date of birth of Annie and death dates and places for both of them.
If any one could assist with this information, it would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Peter Shelley

Hello Lyn,
Many thanks for your very prompt response, it is greatly appreciated.
According to the records I have, Isaac Newton STOKES was born at 25 Navigation Street Birmingham on 21 March 1945. Again, my records are that he married Annie E Fieldhouse. I have no dates for her birth marriage or death. Isaac Newton Stokes was the son of Joseph Haughton Stokes and Charlotte Stokes (nee Harris)
Isaac was the father of my Grandfather Henry Stokes, (AKA Harry) born28 October 1882. Henry's siblings are shown to be George N Stokes, born Wolverhampton about 1879 and Elizabeth, born Handworth about 1880.
I am particularly keen to learn more about them.
Any information that could add to this would be wonderful.
Thank you in anticipation.
Regards,
Peter Shelley

Should that birth in Navigation St be 1845? The 1845 P:O directory gives Joseph Stokes grocer at that address

Joseph is also a grocer there in the 1841 Pigott directory, but by 1849 the grocer at that address was George Hadley
