Inquest information for Mariette Jamme, the daughter of Belgian refugees, died 23rd June 1918, aged 12

I am searching for more details regarding the inquest of Mariette Victorine Celestine Jamme the 12-year-old daughter of Belgian refugees Hubert Henri and Hortense Janne from Vervier. Her death certificate recorded that she died at the General Hospital on 23rd June 1918 from 'shock from burns' and the inquest by the Deputy Coroner on 24th June 1918 recorded 'accidental death'. I can find no record of the inquest in the local newspapers. The purpose of this request is to attach information to the graves of those who were buried at Brandwood End Cemetery as part of the 'God's Acre' initiative. I suspect that she might have had an item of clothing set alight by accident possibly flannelette.
Can anyone suggest where else I can look for the inquest notes, please?

Inquest reports from Birmingham coroner are held at the central library. However, you can only view in person they will not undertake to search and make copies.
If you go to their website and email they will tell you if they hold the record.

Is the name of the daughter Mariette Victorine Celestine Jamme or Janne ?

Why does she take the surname of her mother ?

Death is recorded as Jamme. Not sure what you mean by Mother's surname as I think the Henri is his middle name.

Mother and daughter are listed on London Workhouse

I am not sure where you searched newspapers but very few, if any, 1918 Birmingham papers are on the British newspaper archive site.

No mentions in the limited Birmingham papers for that year. There is always a chance it could be covered in papers from a different area, but not in this case.

Just a thought. We have a thread on the Forum concerning Belgian refugees, and started by someone who has great knowledge on the subject ?
