Pursall Reginald William

Planebird

Brummie babby
HI, I'm doing some family tree work and starting to look at my grandfather Reginald William Pursall, born in 1905 in Birmingham and died in 1962. I can't find much about him or where he was buried or cremated. Any help gratefully received.

Born 1905 Smethwick.

Can't see a burial/cremation on any of the Bham cemeteries. As he appears tohave live in Great Barr maybe Perry Barr crem.

What other info are you looking for? Can see him in 1911 and 1921 when he is with his widowed father and grandparents.

Grandfather was a grocer and father was listed as a wholesale grocer's traveller in 1911.

baptised feb 1905 at st johns church ladywood parents william and frances maud...like MWS i cant find a burial/cremation for the birmingham run crems and cems so he could be at perry barr crem...you can give them a call and if not busy will usually check their records while you wait..his death was registered in the january quarter 1962 and died aged 58

He lived in Great Barr and my mom says he was cremated at Perry Barr but I’ve never been able to find such info officially.

I’m off tomorrow so will give them a try and yes I’ll let you know. His past has baffled my mom & I, I wasn’t born and mom was 21 when he passed so she doesn’t have much memory and bizarrely she doesn’t have any personal belongings or many photos of him. We just don’t know a lot about him. ☹️

here is his baptism record so at least you know that your grandparents were william and frances maud living at 224 montague road smethwick
