just found this pic again with no location on the back showing the drovers arms pub..not sure where it is as i cant quite make out the st/rd sign...looks to be another m and b pub on the other corner...would anyone know the name of that one please and also the building next to it says birmingham arms stabling..did it have anything to do with horses i wonder or am i way off beam...

Lyn looks to me to be the bottom of the Bull Ring just past the meat market that Digbeth in the distance I,ll await confirmation but i,m pretty sure its correct.Dek
 
thanks dek i thought it was that way as ive seen a pic of the drovers before... i think the name comes from when they used to drive the pigs or was it cattle through the bull ring or something like that...

The Drovers arms was on the corner of smithfield st & Bradford St, and the Birmingham arms was on the corner of Moat row and Bradford St, I think i have put their photos on before from c 1970, but can't find them on the forum so here they are again. The stabling is to the right down moat row.
