Hi Guys
i am trying to do some research on a couple whom i have learnt
of today by the name of jack illsley of aston; whom met a girl from claines
whom was the daughter of a farmer and land owner by the name of ellen jelf ; the mothers name was also ellen jelf she was married to samuel jelf
and she had a brother named william ; jelf whom i know about whom was my was my great grand father but i am really intrested in jack illsley
and that name comes to mind and i was wondering whether or not is there any connection to the old illseley family that kept the coal yard in church lane aston
by victoria rd along lichfield rd because we have met a lady whom says her mother was a jelf . ellen jelf and illsley was the father
so did young ellen jelf the daughter of sam ; married a mr jack illseley
possible around the late 1800,s early 1900.s
if any one could shed a little light on it it would be much appreciated it
this later did confirm that one of the jelfs sold guns in carrs lane or around the old steel house lane tiny shops way back then ; but personaly i do remember the name jelf myself as a gun seller in carrs lane in the early fiftys
and she said they joined forces with some one else in partnership
i know it sounds i am expecting alot of info ; but any little snip its will set me right
one again many thanks guys for your valuable time ; best wishes Astonian ;;;
