I have a Lisemore who died in 1861 in Aston (after the census was taken). As far as I can see from the records in the central library, he does not appear to be buried in either of the above cemetaries. Any ideas where he might have been buried?

there is witton cemetery or even aston parish in those days. I would check witton first, andy

Witton opened in 1863 and Handsworth in 1909 so these would have opened after EmmaR's relatives death.

Handsworth is on the OS map for 1870, it became part of Birmingham in 1909.

According to the Handsworth Cemetery web site it says, Handsworth Cemetery was opened in 1909 by Handsworth Council. It was taken over by Birmingham Council in 1911
