hi guys
i am trying to do some research on a thomas hughes
1869 born to elize bannings in the vilage of stoke prior
i have no name of a father and i beleivehe was sent to ireland [ dublin]
at the age of 3 yrs old
can anybody tell me whether or not there was any other members of the
family living in this house at the same time
i beleive stoke prior at that time came under the worcestershire district
if any body could shed any light on this it would be brillient
as this man would be a relative to me
once again i thank everybody for there time in reading this
and for any kind of info ;they could provide also for there valuable time

Hi Astonian. On the 1871 census are a Thomas Hughes and an Edward Hughes, both born in Worcestershire but the town they were born in isn't shown. Thomas is 3 and Edward is 5.

They are in the workhouse at Brighton, and is says on the census "Deserted by Parents"

Will carry on looking.

i very much appreciate what you are doing and i would glady appreciate your valuable time on this one
there is every possible chance it may be the same guy
it could have been 1871 give and take the year eveith he went to ireland or just came back
and somethink tells me he had a brother by is other moms sister named edward == but cannot be sure

hi good morning barry
i am going into worc; this morning so i will call into the history centre
and see if there is any think on there that may help
i know they have more access there than brums but they are well geared up with the latest
equipent and of course it is well listed with the villages of history
but the problem being you have to book them to get onthere machines
barry i will keep intouch with you when or if i find any think out
but any way thanks barry for sparing me your valuable time through out my researching
of my family history with the jelfs and hughes family along with shera you are both great
guys i have learnt one hell of alot and for my appreciation i will be making a donation
to the forum on tuesday of this forth coming week when i get my pension thats for sure
