hughes Mary ann and george william jelf

Astonian

gone but not forgotten
Hi guys
i am very sorry for being abit of a pain about this thread but i am
desperately trying to put this one to bed the one thing i am trying
to establish is and the big question ; being whom and where did she come
from , the person i have been trying to track down for to long is
mary ann hughes ,and george william jelfs marriage if there was one
was it at st martins .or was it in worcestershire
they lved at ivydene 901 tyburn rd erdington ,
he died sept 15th 1935 and she died sept 16th 1946 and i am hoping to find out whether george was maried before to a lady named alice jelf or illselly
before marrying mary ann hughes
as i have got both there wills and it stated george left all to his wife
mary ann hughes
all i have got to go on is may be when george moved to brum from worcestershire he may have met her and then married her
i was told today that the person allsely came from alma street aston in the early years of the late 1800;s to the beging of the 1900s
would really appreciate any think on this
and i hope you will forgive yet again and i thank you all being pateince with me on this moment best wishes Astonian ;;

Hi Astonian, on IGI there is a marriage of George William Jelfs to Mary Ann Hughes on 26th September 1885 at St Andrews,Bordesley,Warwick.
Does this help?

HI LINDA
How are you fine i hope on this wonderful day .?.
many thanks for your assitance on this one i have spent a couple of years trying to get some kind of lead on this lady and of course george ,so yes its a great help that you have found somethink for me regarding a
marrige its a good chance this is the one especialy you have got a bordesley area
which was or is still in around the digbeth area
as my grand parents come from that area many years ago and going by the storyies my mother as told me
that her grand father whom is george was involved with the thearter as a compare of the old music halls
where her and her mother used to be stage and tap dancing for a dance troop run by a guy whom i think i have spelt it correctly was called harry leviene dance troop whom travelled the country music halls in those days
and it was the what is now known as the digbeth civic centre
so there is every chance thats him
thanks linds , i will persue that avenue have a nice day best wishes Astonian ;;;
