Hughes family

Trying to trace my mothers family who comes from Ballinrobe in Eire but have drawn a blank due to lack of information from Ireland. However I have been told that my moms family lived in Church Road Yardley in the 50s and 60s. All I have is the surname of Hughes. Is there any way I can find out information on line or is a visit required to the library? How I wish I spoke to my mom more!!!!!!!

In 1955 there is Frederick & Emily Hughes on the electoral roll at 447 Church road, Yardley. I think it’s the only ones on that Church road

They are listed as Frederick T and Emily M Hughes in the 1950 roll, and Frederick T Hughes is there in the 1945 one.
Frederick T Hughes / Emily M Stokes marriage registered 4th quarter 1935, Birmingham vol 6d page 646. Does this confirm or eliminate them?

Looking earlier, there is a Frederick William Hughes, Edith Hughes and Frederick T Hughes at 35 Church Rd in 1920. FW and E are there 1925, and in 1930/5/9 joined by Dorothy Edith Patience Hughes. in 1939 only, a Christopher and Flora Christine Hughes are at no.43 Church Rd.
