Hudson House school Frederick Road Stechford

proper brummie kid
Hi
Does anyone remember or have any information on Hudson House School in Stechford. I think it was in Frederick Road and would have been open in the 1950 - 1960s. It was a small private school.
Many thanks

It was on Frederick Road. Newspapers report it's closure in Sept 1972 and there appears to have been some sort of dispute between the owner (a Mr Garrett) and his parents which was still not resolved by 1975.

Map from 1950 showing a school on Frederick Road, though it's not named...

Hi Chrismary,

I lived 3 doors from the school at 44 Frederick Road, and went to school there in the early 50s.

There are quite a lot of postings on the Stechford Area thread relating to Hudson House School,
so I suggest you search under that thread,

Kind regards
Dave
