Does anyone remember this shop? They sold stockings and handbags. The actors from the Alec used to shop on there a lot and the cast of Crossroads. My mother ran it for the owners Oscar & Erna Bart, during the late 1950s early to mid 1960s. I spent many hours there especially if I was ill and couldn't go to school. It was situated in the Guildhall Buildings and there was a little tobacconists nearby run by a lady called Berris/Berice?? and there was also a lingerie shop called Lorna Gay? Laura Gay? There was a toy shop opposite Hornby?? and just along on the other side was the Queen's Hotel, which was completely black on the outside from the trains going in and out of New Street Station.
