Hi

From the IGI I have the following

John HOLDER born 29 May 1812 and baptised 24 Sept 1812 St Martin Birmingham.

Mary Ann HOLDER baptised 3 Jun 1814 St Martin Birmingham, parents Thomas & Sarah

James HOLDER born 1 Mar 1817 and baptised 28 July 1817 St Martin Birmingham, parents Thomas & Sarah

I would be grateful for any extra information from the Parish registers concerning these three entries if available.

Regards
Robyn

Hello Robyn there is no other info on the 1812 record. On 1814 it gives abode as Deritend and occupation Button Maker. On the 1817 it gives abode as Milk Street and occupation as Button Finisher.

Hello Wendy,
Thank you so very much for the look ups you did for me.
It's the right family for me as they worked in the button industry.
ManyThanks
Robyn

Hello again Wendy,

Could I also ask if you are able to look up the marriage of

Thomas HOLDER and Sarah REDDALL
06 Jun 1791 Saint Martin, Birmingham, Warwick

please.

I have now ordered film of the Parish from the Family History Centre but I have just realised that 1791 is not included in the years I requested as 1795 is the earliest date.

There may also be children born 1791-1794. I have a Richard HOLDER born about 1792 possibly their son.

Thank you so much for your help and hope I am not requesting too much. Your previous look up for me is wonderful and has renewed my search for the family.

Best wishes
Robyn

Robyn the early records don't contain much information. I have checked the marriage of Thomas and Sarah and it only contains what you have names and date. The C.D's although expencive are exact copy of the parish registers and have been well worth it for my own research. They are available from the BMSGH are easy to search by surname. I don't mind helping with look ups but there is a limit to the time I can give. The burial side is very good as the IGI does not contain these records.. I advise anyone with ancesters in Birmingham to put them on your Christmas or Birthday list:)

Hi Wendy,

Thank you once again for the extra lookup and especially for the information on the CDs. I did not know about them and it is good to hear they are worthwhile. The LDS film is a great resource but as I have a 50km trip to view it, the CDs sound very appealing.
I have a collection of CDs relating to our BMDs in Australia and I know how invaluable it is to have them on hand.

Best Wishes
Robyn
