These two photos show my Gran's back room in Hockley Road before the houses were pulled down in about 1974. I remember being fascinated by all her nic naks and horse brasses.
 
Hi 500 Miles: Thanks for posting these photos of your Grandma's fireplace. They are very nice. I had a great time looking
at all her little treasures. The fireplace is characteristic of many of that period. Those houses are old for that area. By the way
I grew up in the Stockland Green area.
 
Nice pictures 500Miles - you just don't tend to see this kind of thing much these days - reminds me of visiting the Black Country Museum .
