Hick street to Yardley Wood

Bernard67Arnold

master brummie
Last Wenesday my son Paul and I spent the day with Nick Harding a
nephew of mine who made a study of family trees etc, cant remember the
proper name anyway,
he lives in a beautiful house right on the boarder Wales and Shrops; it
overlooks the Clun valley.he had copies of the 1930 and 1950 electoral rolls, one for Hick St; where I was born and the other Cleeve Road where
I was bought up! the cleeve Rd; one certainly brings back memories of all
our old neighours, Ivy and Joe Dickinson from next door, Joe was a bus
driver for BCT and then an instructor on bus driving. Oh! it was luvly to see
all the old names, the Jeffs, the Wilsons and lots more. The Hick St; one
was also interesting, we lived at 7 back of 8. which I think is proof of back
houses in Hick St; which some people on the forum seem to doubt.
Bye for now Bernard67Arnold
