Has anyone information regarding HH Ellaway (Brassfounders) who were based in Lombard Street, Birmingham. The company seems to disappear/merge about the time of WWI. Any information will be gratefully received. Thanks in anticipation.

Ellaways were not listed in Kellys in 1896, and the site of the factory was occupied by a number of small firms. But by 1897: it was Henry H. Ellaway , brassfounder & maker of screw & curtain rings, screw, cup, cabin, wardrobe, hat & tassel hooks, stair rods & eyes, sash & casement fasteners, lifting door & postal handles, letter plates, knockers, bolts, picture rod & shop window fittings Etc. 46 -50 Lombard St

By 1912 they are just described as brassfounders, in 1913 as brassfounders, stamper & piercer. And in 1915 as brassfounders & turner ,cabinet & builders, cast & stamped. But by 1921 they have moved to 24-28 Bishop St. By 1932 the Bishop St site is occupied by Essor Manufacturing Co,brassfounders and Newton Collins, ventilating engineers
