Born a Brummie
In 1925 Alice Jemima Herbert became a widow when her husband Horace Herbert died, She then married Edward F.D.Evans in December 1926. He died in June 1929.

The question has now been put forward did Alice Jemima die a Herbert or an Evans? Alice died 1954 in Erdington but 1954 doesn't come up on Freebmd.

Will someone please do a lookup for me?

Many thanks Alberta for that. We thought that she may have been Evans but everyone referred to her as "Grandma Herbert".........there lies the confusion :rolleyes:

Rowan ,I have a childhood friend who was June Adams she married in 1958 but to my family she is still June Adams.LOL.
