Henry Hadley - Hannah Purcell - Marriage - 19th September 1825

MarkCDodd

proper brummie kid
Can somebody please give me the details of this marriage.

They are my 3rd Great Grandparents and I am having difficulty work back from here.

Thanks in advance from a Brausie (Birmingham born, living in Austalia).

as you may know, there is not a lot of info on the records at this date.

henry hadley of this parish bachelor and hannah purcell of this parish spinster married 19th sep 1825 at st. martins. they signed with a cross and the witnesses were john crafe? and ann fenton.

i cannot see any baptisms of children at st. martins for this couple

All their children were born in Smethwick and West Brom.

Some churches are a bit scant on detail but when I get somebody from a non-conformist parish there is always a wealth of information.

There are other Hadleys in my tree of about the same age that I am sure are siblings.

I might get somebody to have a look at the Old Church in Smethwick...

hi there
on the question of purcell i do not think its a common name
but there is a family of purcells whom live in monica rd small heath whom have been there living for years
there is patrick purcell whom i know of i just cannot recall is mothers name
i thought it might be some connection regarding hanna purcell
best wishes astonion

I haven;t trace her sibling and aunt/uncles as yet so will probably come across the Small Heath Purcells when I do.
