Hi there,
Just a quick note to share my helpful hint with everyone doing family searches - two weeks ago I sent a letter to the letters pages of The Sunday Mercury and the Birmingham Evening Mail briefly detailing my ancestors, asking anyone who thought they might be related to please get in touch - and got the shock of my life !
Last week a letter arrived from a lady in Bartley Green telling me she was also the great-grandaughter of Alfred Luckman !
I have since been in touch with her and discovered she also had a family tree and we are now exchanging info !
In the days of modern technology we often forget local newspapers - so get your pens posed and get writing - it certainly worked for me !
