Hazelwell Cottages Stirchley

zircon

knowlegable brummie
i have some relatives who lived in Hazelwell Cottages in Stirchley/ Kings Heath in 1891 and 1901

I wonder if anyone knows the location of these please

The cottages are not, listed as such, in Kellys, or on electoral rolls, and there are no large scale (1:500 ) maps available for the area which might have given them by name. If yo could tell us the name of your relative then we should be able to determine the whereabours of the cottages from the surrounding census pages.

Have worked out where they must be. The map below gives the enumerators route. in blue He started off at the Breedon Cross, which is just off the map to the bottom, then fordhouse farm, Hazelwell Hall, Hazelwell Farm (not named on the map, but it must be this one close to the hall), then Hazelwell cottages by the farm (in green), Brickfield farm (again not named on map, but must be farm by brickworks), past the brickworks and then to Peel terrace , which apparently was in hunts road.
Have included a slightly better view of the cottages as well.

The farm seems to be opposite what is now Edwin Road, with the cottages behind
