Hayward William Henry- help please

sheri

master brummie
I have the above on 1881 census but cannot find him on either 1841/51/61/71 - I can understand missing one but all four!! I think his father was a William Hayward/wood who may have been the brother of my gt.gt.grandfather John hayward/wood.
Many thanks,
Sheri

Re: William Henry Hayward - help please

Hi Shera, than k you so much for that information - I'm grateful. I'm not sure that it is the right William Hayward but will try and find out more. I don't have Ancestry at the moment but will get it as soon as possible. I'd like to be able help others more.
Anyway thank you,
Sheri

I don't know if this is of any help but I am trying to track down a William Hayward and Liza/ Eliza Hayward.Liza/Eliza ended up in Australia in the early-mid 1800's. William may have been involved with railways/iron and coal from the shropshire area. I have a copy of a portrait

Re: William Henry Hayward - help please

Hi Nielsen, Welcome to the Forum. My gt.gt.grandfather was John Hayward b. about 1796 who was a Bellows Maker - I have him in 1841 living Church St. Birmingham. I cannot find anything more about him who is father was or any siblings.
I have from Kellys directories (given me by another forum member) a William Hayward & sons Bellows Makers at Snowhill in 1818 and in 1823/29/30 they are at Snowhill and 142 Leonard St. (this may have been where they lived) and in 1833 they are just at 142 Leonard St.
I have looked at many William Haywards but nothing I can tie together - very frustrating. The only one I found from Shropshire was in 1851 census - William b. 1807 Bromfield Shropshire married Sarah b. Bridgenorth Shrops living Pershore, Edgebaston. I have nothing with an Eliza but have Elizabeth. Don't know if this is any help but let me know if I can help further or if you have any information about your Williams parents.
