Hayward Henry - parents

sheri

master brummie
In census 1861 I have Henry Hayward living with Henry & Elizabeth Blackham (my gt.g/parents) age 7(b.1854) - in 1871 he is living with his grandmother at 18 Thorpe St (age 17) - she is Elizabeth Mitchell (2nd marriage ?) - he's down as Blackham on this census - maybe he changed his name.
On Family Search - he was born fist quater 1854 in Birmingham 6d 121.
I wonder if it is possible for someone to look him up and see who his parents are?
Your help is appreciated.

Re: Henry Hayward's - parents

henry blackham married elizabeth hayward in 1857 jan-mar birmingham 6d 40

as elizabeth (on 1861 census) would only have been abt 15yrs at the time of henry haywards birth in 1854 i think she must have been an unmarried mother

Re: Henry Hayward's - parents

Hi Shera, thanks for reply - do you know it had never occured to me that Henry age 7 could be Elizabeth's son - this would account for the confusion on censu's on his surname - could have taken Blackham after parents marriage. I wonder why Henry(senior) and Elizabeth didn't marry before if of course Henry B is young Henry's father. Sometimes the information throws up more questions.
Than k you for your help.

Re: Henry Hayward's - parents

sheri, henry blackham probably isnt henry haywards father. after he married elizabeth he just took on young henry as his son so you will never find out the father of henry hayward.

Re: Henry Hayward's - parents

Hi Shera - I think you are probably right about Henry B not being his father - perhaps the use of the name is just a coincidence. As you say I'll probably never know. Thank you very much.
