I went to Sunday School & Brownies at Havergal House.
I still have my Hymn Book that I was awarded with. Miss Bagg used to play the piano & for some reason she took a liking to me and gave me a bone china watering can (when I was about 8 years old) which I also still have.
I used to live in New John Street.

I was christened there. Hope the picture brings back some other memories of the place for you.

I went there regularly in the early 50s; for a time, morning and evening services and Sunday school in the afternoon. My sister and her husband were strong Methodists. Dennis, my brother-in-law went on to be a Methodist minister. I remember many faces but not so many names. Was there a deaconess named Barbara. I know there was an Ivy went there as she was a family friend and neighbour but I have forgotten her last name.
I took a photograph of it about three years ago but have mislaid it. I think is was a scout centre then.

It hasn't changed much.

My first Boy Scout troop was 266 Havergal House. We were originally in St Stephens Church on Newtown Row and then in Elkington St school.
