The Monica , Small Heath
The Old Red Lion Was An Convent And A Nun Died There On The Sacret Grounds
Which Still Appears And Plays Up In The Night At The New Red Lion
The Barrells Roll Across The Floor And The Ghains Rattle And She Appears From Time To Time On The Stair Wells Always In The Middle Of The Night
It Did,nt Help Having The Holly Souls Church Next Door I ,ve Been Around Alot Of Pubs In My Time Around The Country And Some Of These Very Old Pubs Have There CHARACTERS , And I Mean Spirits, -No Not The Drinking Ones Jean

The Lad in the Lane ( or Green Man depending on your age) on Bromford Lane is reputed to be haunted and been investigated several times.

Incidentally - outside of ecclesiastical sites it is the oldest known building in Birmingham - dendro-dating on the timbers show the trees originally felled in 1306. Well worth a visit - somewhat limited choice of beers though - I'd love to see some real ales return.
