Lyn Had a look through the marriages from 59 to 63 none of that name in Brum that I can see ..have 7 Janet Harringtons but ranging from Bristol to London

thanks maggie...she was born in 1945 so if she did marry it could of course have been even into the 70s and until we get further info may have been adopted and had a name change......tell you what..this family of mine have caused me some trouble....

Can I just remind you of the basics of family history. Work backwards. Birth certificate, marriage certificate, birth certificate. It is not so difficult then. But you do need to send for certificates. Otherwise they are just any old names that you could pluck out of a hat.

thanks ann.. i will bare that in mind...but as i said until social services release the papers we dont even know if janet was adopted and had a first and last name change...or indeed if she ever married...just clutching at straws at the mo in case anything turns up....

I knew a Janet Harrington/Waldron if its the same one she was married on June 1st 1957 .grannyb

hi grannyb..thanks for your post...but my janet harrington was born in 1945 so it cant be the same one im afraid...but thank you again for taking the time out to let me know....maybe one day she will turn up....
